This page is dedicated to the websites, apps, or other resources that I have found (and actually use) to help enrich or otherwise make my life easier.
Atlas Obscura
This website allows you to search your area for new and unique things to do. Unlike yelp or trip advisor this site tends to have a more diverse selection of activities/destinations for you to chose from. What ever your interests are you can find something and the best part is, many of them are completely free!
Hiking Project
I use this website all of the time to find great hikes in my area. You can search by geographical region and filter for a variety of features like difficulty, length, pet friendliness, sights, etc. The website also allows you to post your hike pictures and write reviews of the hikes so that other people can find great hikes that fit their needs. There is also an app for both android and apple devices that is super easy to use!
All Recipes
This website has been an absolute life saver more than once when it came to answering the question, “What the hell am I going to make for dinner??” I love this because not only can you search by category (appetizer, breakfast, etc) you can also search by ingredients for when you have random stuff you need to use but no idea what to do with it. You can create an account and save your favorite recipes, share pictures of the stuff you have made, read articles related to food, create shopping lists based on what you want to make and so much more. In addition, I think the best part of the whole thing is that you can scale the recipe you want to make up or down depending on your needs! Simply adjust the desire number of servings and it will do the math for you. Albeit the measurements sometimes come out strange depending on how much you change it but still, super useful!
(oh…and there is an app too)
